We share information at every stage of the process. Naturally, with any project, a few challenges are bound to occur. The key is being proactive, figuring out an intelligent solution, and moving ahead to the next phase.

Our cost-controlling abilities begin with the structure of our company. We maintain a lean, streamlined operation; therefore our fees our very competitive. For example, unlike with many firms, our principals are not figureheads: rather, they are the foundation of the company. They actively run the projects—and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Clear communication every step of the way is also crucial. We begin collaborating with designers and subcontractors at the earliest planning stages, so that opportunities for saving money and improving quality are constantly uncovered and refined. Information from each group is made available to everyone else on the “team”; a positive feedback loop is established, which helps our clients’ money work harder and go further.

All subcontracts are competitively bid. But we don’t stop there. We present the best bids to you, then explain who we think is best for the job. This is an important part of our Open Book process. Again, we have no secrets.

In addition, we manage budgets throughout the construction process and provide regular updates, so that every client can always know the financial status of his or her job.
