Delphi Honored for Achievements in Safety with S.T.E.P. Platinum Level Award

Associated Builders and Contractors Awards Delphi High Honors for Safety Performance

WALTHAM MASSACHUSETTS — Delphi Construction of Waltham, Massachusetts recently announced it was the recipient of the S.T.E.P Award Platinum Level by the Associated Builders and Contractors for 2016.

The S.T.E.P. Awards are presented annually to companies with exceptional safety records. Applicants are critiqued on a number of statistical factors such as incident rates, lost time and OSHA recordables combined with a safety audit consisting of twenty key components.

Jake Simmons, President of Delphi Construction commented on receiving the award.

“We are honored to have been recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors for 2016. Delphi has been awarded the Gold S.T.E.P. Award in past years for our commitment to ensuring a safe work environment. This year marks the attainment of an even higher level with the PLATINUM award.

While we are proud and honored to be recognized for our diligence in safety, there is no room for complacency. We will continue to be relentless in our pursuit of creating the safest work environment possible.” Simmons said.

Delphi Vice President, Joe Mastromatteo, who is closely involved with safety training at Delphi attributes the achievement to the safety minded-culture that prevails at the company.

“Our number one priority is that our employees, subcontractors and all who visit the job site return home safely each night. To that end we are rigorous in our safety training and regulation adherence. We take a zero tolerance approach to any violation of our safety protocols. Safety is everyone’s responsibility. All Delphi employees, regardless of position within the company, are fully empowered to promote and enforce safety at all times.” Mastromatteo said.
